Järn (Iron) deals mainly with the problems of the division of labour.
In Part I a small goup of instruments (soprano saxophone, piano, cb) triggers off the activity of the collective ensemble, in Part II a more continuous and organic process of 'coming together' is produced, wheras Part III is dominated by a rather uniform and aggressive articulation of one single musical layer.
